- Beginning September 1, 2009 the new Washington Home Inspection law requires anyone inspecting homes in Washing Sate to show proof of passing the National and Sate portions of the Home Inspectors Examination. The NHIE (National Home Inspector's Exam) is controlled by the EBPHI (Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors), and the State portion was developed by Washington State Department of Licensing. Both tests are administered by PSI Testing Facilities.
